Feb 11, 2021 Season 1 Episode 15
Michelle De Jong, Adam De Jong, Chad Mueller

As the CrossFit Open gets closer and closer, The Fit Life Podcast will be talking to previous competitors about their experiences with this gruesome event.

First up we have the athlete/coach that introduced it to us all - Coach Adam. In this episode, Chad and Adam talk about their history with the sport and what they have experienced over the years of competing - improvements and hardships. Adam and Chad take us through each year, from Adam's first not so great year to Chad's "retirement" and then come back.

As they take us through the years, Adam and Chad bring light to the fact that the CrossFit Open has become more inclusive. Starting with only one scale to now having multiple different levels so everyone can compete.

The pain of the workouts may seem unbearable most of the time, but overall it's a fun event to get involved in, whether you are a veteran or a beginner. Pain is temporary, the memories last forever.
